As mother of a chef and daughter of one of Australia’s great cooks (Mona the Magnificent of Adelaide, now sadly deceased), I like to think I know good food. That’s why I like to eat at Hungry Hearts.
But what topped the bill was THE CAKE. It was a friend’s 70th birthday, and he wasn’t happy, till he saw THE CAKE. It had tartan icing, HIS personal tartan. He and his eighty or so guests were simply amazed, and the birthday boy is still talking about it!

Nicole and I were looking for catering for our wedding after not having much luck with many caterers around Darwin. Nicole's dad told us about a clip in a local newspaper about a new caterer based in Palmerston, Hungry Hearts.
We gave them a call and never worried about another detail. Matt's service was enthusiastic, attentive and totally instrumental in fine tuning everything. He asked all the questions we hadn't thought of and was always friendly and prompt with answers and suggestions and very accommodating with all requests even with things outside of the food like tables, chairs, glasses, all the things that round off the event.
In regards to the food, a friend of ours once said that it doesn't matter how flash your wedding is but the guests will only remember the food and drink, I know that our guests will never forget our wedding, or the great coffee.

“Hungry Hearts is not only a fantastic cafe in the heart of Palmerston that makes a great coffee, it also offers superb catering. I first called upon Hungry Hearts to cater for a group of 20 people, where I work.
They have a great menu to choose from and nothing is too hard for them. They are all about customer service.
The range of food is gourmet quality at very reasonable prices, and he delivers to your door. Everyone at work was asking where I got the food from. It was so good. Word is out and various groups within my organisation are also contacting Hungry Hearts to cater for them.
Knowing the quality of food, I also chose Hungry Hearts to cater for my husband’s 50th birthday. We had approx 50 guests and had a selection of hot dishes. Yet again, the comments from the guests about the food were excellent. Matt also made a Chocolate Almond cake and decorated it with a tartan look to go along with our Scottish heritage . The cake was to die for and so impressive to look at. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. Again, all this food was delivered to the door when needed. The quality of the food and excellent friendly service was a major contributing factor to the party being a huge success.
I highly recommend Hungry Hearts to cater for any function. Don’t forget the superb cakes.
